Forest parked the bus, caught us ball watching on the break and then double parked it. Town deserved the equaliser. Forest didn't want another hiding like last season and weren't going to get one come what may.

Overall probably a fair result, although Forest did hit the post late on and O'Grady's strong follow up shot was also blocked on the line.  However, Town looked competitive throughout and it would have been an injustice had Forest ended up with all three points.

So overall, with 7 points from the last 9 contested we can't complain and the 10 points from 9 games we now have, certainly looks a lot better than the 3 from 6 games we had only a couple of weeks back.

So hopefully it's onwards and upwards from hereon.   Wink Wink Wink

What a great way to spend a Thursday night. It feels like a Tuesday, but tomorrow's Friday.  Big Grin

Good match. We should've won again, but didn't. Can't complain though. We played really well, just need to shoot more, as themaclad has pointed out. We already knew that. But if you shoot, no matter how close to the keeper it's going, it could get deflected in. Buy a ticket and you might win the lottery!

Really impressed again with Whitehead. Come into his own now that we've got shut of that Butterfield.  Whistle

Huws, what an inspired signing. I admit that I knew nowt about him when he came here, but now I love the bloke. Crainie gets better every match and looks a hell of a lot more confident on the ball than young Tommy ever did.

I wish he'd given Flo Bojaj a run out instead of Nakki. We all know what Nakki brings to the team, but not Flo. Nakki isn't an impact sub. He's a starter who needs most of the match to get settled in.

Joe Lolley made his usual impact though. Powell was right to take Scanz off. He's not the same player he was last season.

Would've settled for a point, but I think the performance deserved all three. Keep playing this way and we will get promoted. No doubt.

Dont think scannell is helped by the fact it took about 30mins to get the ball to him as we favoured the left wing. Its not like he can go and get himself into the game because it would lead to us being way too narrow and cul de sacs forming.

Second half we put some awful balls out to him and hoped for a miracle. Thought he should have come off earlier, not for any performance reasons just for a different aspect that may have been better at that time.

Also lichaj got booked early on when carayol was tearing him to shreds, so why did we stop?

JJ's right, Scanz saw little of the ball and when he did get it he made a couple of decent runs, should've laid it of earlier though - first 20mins I thought we were brilliant - one touch football and great to watch and then, bollocks, sucker punch, shambles defense running around the six yard line like headless chickens, we even knocked our own keeper over!! - we looked disjointed after that as we tried to get back into the game, I thought it took Cozy too long to get Lolley on, should have come on at 60min mark - draw was about the right result - Forrest aren't gonna pull up trees this season (no pun intended - cos' it'd have been a shit pun if it was intended)

First time I've watched us this season. Not sure what to make of it all. Thought we looked very good in the 1st 20 minutes with Muzzy looking like a player who actually can take people on and deliver some telling passes. He faded quite badly though and lost concentration for the Forest goal.
Impressed with Whitehead and Huws and thought Lolley was lively when introduced. Would like to see more game time for him. Bunn was busy and a decent threat.

I like the look of Cranie, he seems to want to pass the ball out of defence along with Ward. Unsure on Davidson but only my first viewing this term.

Still painfully obvious to me that we need a powerful CF. Miller is ok but he won't score us 15+ a season. Hate to say it, but JV (fully fit on a regular basis) is ideal. That would guarantee us a finish between 10th and 15th IMO.

Great entertaining match! Forest defended for their lives at times and we would have been proud of that had it been the other way round. A point was a fair result because we didn't really create enough chances to trouble their keeper and they did hit the post, then had the clearance cleared off the line near the end.

I thought that Whitehead and Huws were class. Whitehead was everywhere and his fitness has really improved since the start of the season. He seems to have also taken over the captain's role really well and I think he will be a main stay in the team. I slated him at the start of the season so some humble pie for me Sick

Huws is a quality player and I can see him being our record signing in January. Looking at easily £2 mill plus to get him though. He is composed on the ball, not quite as tricky as Butts, but very effective and one hell of a shot! Should also keep getting better as he gets fitter!

Scanz didn't really get much service, which was a shame because their LB didn't look great. He will play a part this season though and just needs to get on the ball more. Carayol looked decent in the 1st 20 mins but end product wasn't there and was rightly subbed in the 2nd half.

If only we had James Vaughan on the bench! He would have been a been a great option with 20 mins to go and help get Miller off the pitch! He needed a wheelchair after 60 mins and is nowhere near fit enough to get through 90 mins and the Forest CB's had a comfortable night against him. I still don't think he is a regular starter or of the quality needed at this level. But, if that's all we have then there is nothing we can do about it!

My only worry is the lack of goals from the strikers because Miller is going to struggle to get into double figures and Nahki doesn't fit into the system at the moment. Maybe Leon Best is more mobile than Miller but he isn't prolific either! We need more goals from Carayol and Scans to compensate for our lack of goals up front, which is dangerous!

seen the high lights , looks like we had decent build up play but lacked a bit of a cutting edge, having said that by all accounts Forrest parked the bus most of the game

once our tall lads learn how to head a ball at goal Harry Bunn's corners are going to cause other teams some problems

Just what I was saying. Those corners were superb. We would've won 10-0 if Boothy was playing.
