Midfield linking very well, and Oduwa and Zelalem in particular looking menacing every time they receive the ball.
Great strike from Halliday and a fantastic ball from him for Clark's goal, not forgetting Zelalem's outstanding pass for Waghorns finish.

My only slight concern about the squad at the moment is the depth of the pool of defenders. With McGregor gone, Zaliukas also gone or going, and Gasparotto out on loan, we only have Wilson, Kiernan and Ball for the centre of defence, and Lewis White and Fraser Aird are the only alternatives we have for the full back positions as far as I can see. We can rotate a centre back for this sort of match, but we still have to rely on Wallace and Tavernier - who arguably put more into our matches than anyone else - for every game. I think basically I'd rather have seen one of them rested for this match, but it's hard to see who would come in for them.
Wont be surprised if another loan or 2 comes in yet, especially if Zaliukas goes/
so far, the game has gone well and goals scored this time. Hopefully the foot doent come off the pedal this time; or at least for half an hr

A 5-0 win to see us through. I'm happy with that, even though it's still not perfect, with Zelalem and Oduwa maybe trying a bit too hard at times and some shoddy passing from Waghorn. But ultimately we got 5 good goals from 5 different players and a 3rd consecutive clean sheet. I think we've become a bit less fluent just from having to integrate some new guys into the side, but in a few weeks I'd think they'll all be on the same wavelength and we'll start to get the best of them.

18 attempts, 9 on target, 5 goals, that is clinical at any level and against any opponent!! Keep that up and you will be in great shape all season! Well done!

My only complaint about that was that there were times we could have done better with relatively simple finishes. Shiels scored at the second attempt but should have done better initially, and Hardie had a great chance later on from a low cross but his finish took all the pace off the ball and went straight at the keeper. I've noticed we've missed a number of chances this season in similar fashion (side-footing loose balls straight at the keeper) so I don't know if that's something we need to drill the players on or if it'll just come with time and confidence. We should keep creating plenty of chances so players will at least have opportunities to work on it in matches.

Comfy win, Airdrie just didn't seem able to compete at all, especially in the first 20 mins. Zipped the ball about nicely and utterly controlled the game.
Play was stuffy in second half, until the fourth goal went in. Lots to be positive about, and a few negatives to remind our boys of the standards required going forward.
New lads did OK, Zelalem can pick a pass when he sees it, and protects possession really well.
7/7 success rate. Next please.
