King won’t let recent history lie and insists those responsible for the demise of the club will face justice.

He said: “I don’t think the full extent will be unravelled but we will unravel enough to bring to book a couple of people. I believe that will happen.”

Thing is, we've no idea who he's hinting at here. Is it former directors - he seems to have serious friction with the Easdales for instance - or is he talking about administrators of Scottish football, who tried and spectacularly failed to kill us off?

'Cos if it's the latter, he's got absolutely no chance of a happy outcome. If it's the former, there's nothing to gain from it except a justification for finger-pointing.

Personally, I think it's just a handy soundbite to throw out to appease and pander to the troublemakers who backed his shameful boycott takeover plan. Those groups have always seemed to believe every dodgy conspiracy theory they're told, and would happily jump all over a 'valid' scapegoat.

The thing is, the club is finally in a position for a period of stability, with a possible promotion as well!! Surely its time to put the past behind and get in with the job ahead?? Everytime someone rakes up the past it just puts more turmoil into everyhting surrounding the club, King would be best leaving it and just making sure the club is in a position to compete next season whatever division you are in.

It's perfectly possible to do both.

If individuals involved in the the running of the business can be shown to have operated in the best interests of another entity or entities then they should be "brought to book" for it.

The problem imo is that it puts you in the news for the wrong reasons, for purely negative Rangers fan v Rangers fan reasons and that damages the reputation of the club as a whole. I understand you desire to see anyone who harmed the club to be brought to book, but I don't think its worth the column inches that will be devoted to it.

If you are saying that we should take a "too much hassle" attitude to potential impropriety at senior management/board level over the past 3 years and thereby legitimising such behavior I couldn't disagree more. You invest in an entity and quite rightly expect that it will run according to rules and regulations. If it can be found that Rangers had less money because people didn't do their jobs properly and knew they weren't doing them properly then I would welcome appropriate action. I would also see it as positive advertising.
