Goal of the season - Joel Lynch........again!

Young player of the season - Conor Coady

Players' player of the season - Scanz

The Hargreaves Memorial Player of the Year - JACOB BUTTERFIELD

Scanz 2nd and Nakki 3rd.

Less than 1% in it for the top two apparently.

Well deserved on all accounts. Scanz I think for the way he broke into the team and contributed massively in his work-rate, goals and committment was why he got players player and I think we all knew that butts deserved player of the year overall. Can't argue with lynchy for goal of the season although would be a tight call for me between coady and bunn for young player. I think Coady shades it for consistency (hasn't been injured at all I don't think) and leadership qualities.

Nahki Wells 3rd??? Really??
I'd have Smithies right up there in 3rd.

That's right, Shep. Smithies has had probably his best season yet, but will be remembered for the couple of howler he has let in.
Nobody pulls Nakki up about the really good chances he hasn't taken and just see that he's top scorer.

You're wrong about that M'Lord, we had a post match discussion in the pub the other week after Blackburn game and I can tell you now that at least 3 of us all agreed that if offered £1.5m or more then we should sell him because he isn't clinical enough when it comes to finishing

I'll re-iterate what's been said above - Wells finishing 3rd is a joke. Also agree with Wakey, if we were offered the same amount or more than we paid for him I'd ship him on contributes very little other than getting into scoring positions, but doesn't convert anywhere near enough.

I'll 'third it' on Wells too, he's not prolific or clinical enough for my liking. Me and my mate have this conversation all the time he seems to like him where I am his biggest critic, he fluffs to many good chances. One in particular that sticks in my mind, at Wigan, he's clean through on goal and fluffs it totally. I would deffo bring in another goalscoring striker in the summer.

I'm willing to give Nakki another season. He's still young and learning. Although I doubt he will ever be a Jordan Rhodes, I think he's capable of getting 20 in a Championship season.

Can't be much fun, score a hat-trick one week then sit on the bench for the next 2,3,4 matches? Beyond that though he needs to stop trying to take the net off the posts every time when he's clean through. Invariably it hits the keeper and bounces away or sails wide. He needs to pass it into the net more. The master of this was, the now very poorly, Jimmy Greaves. Wish him all the best.
