i honestly cant stand it when footballers complain they they weren't GIVEN a chance
coaches see you everyday on the training ground, you should earn your chance. and “If you haven’t been given the opportunity then that is just narrow-mindedness and being too busy listening to other people’s opinions rather than making your own. “That was the case at Huddersfield, but that has been and gone now and I am not going to be there next season." is a bit more than i wasnt given a chance , reading between the lines he wanted to walk back into the team after being out a decent amount of time injured and if a manager who is capped at england level as a defender doesnt pick you and the only team who wants you on loan is 16th in league 1 with 8 games to go is the only team who want you on loan despite you being made available for a long time then maybe ...just maybe ...your attitude stinks and you should be looking at yourself not everyone else

Hit the nail on the head there I think MNt. Seemed to have an "I know better than you" attitude when Robins was in charge and clearly didn't do a lot to impress Powell. Our defence wasn't exactly the best when he did play either so he's got a really short memory or over-inflated opinion of how well he played for us.
To be honest I didn't think he was that much better than his brother who we let go before we brought him in.

Detest
Posh - Black Thursday and Old Trafford...and that idiot of a chairman. I have to say I do detest them more than Dirty L666s. Just. Dislike Sadford City - already mentioned a few reasons why I don't like them. Wigan - rugby town with no support Liverpool - Dalglish defending racist Suarez...and all the fans feel guilt free over Hillsborough - they were horribly behaved that day and contributed to those 96 deaths - certainly not innocent in my eyes. Burnley - shockingly weird set of supporters Sheff Utd - shockingly weird set of supporters

Well said re Liverpool supporters, Shep. No matter how badly at fault the police chief was on the day, and no matter how cowardly he has been since then, he did not crush anyone to death. Liverpool fans did that to their own kind.
I don't hold any grudges or especially dislike them, but I wish some of them - and they'll know who they are - would grow a pair and step forward and admit responsibility for their own actions that day, instead of being happy to pin the blame on somebody else. ![]()

Spot on!!! There were many things that day that culminated in a terrible tragedy, sure the police have to take the brunt of the blame, but fans causing an initial crush outside the ground led to the gate being opened and more fans rushing towards the already full terrace. Had the fans outside not pushed and pushed (as all fans did in those day to be fair) then this disaster may not have happened. Likewise had the police formed a cordon away from the turnstiles like they did the previous year then there would ahve been no crush. As I say, a lot of factors caused this and the fans were definitely one of them, but due to the police and other authorities covering up the truth there will never be any blame laid at every foot that caused it.

The Liverpool fans will not be happy until no blame whatsoever is laid at their door. The innocent ones were the ones at the front who died. They got there early and had tickets. The ones at the back are not all innocent. They should accept responsibility for that along with the police and officials.

All along the Liverpool fans have always claimed to be the victims in this, some certainly paid the ultimate price but as you say the ones who should feel some guilt for their actions just run around shout "Justice for the 96". Its a conversation you can never have with a Liverpool fan either, they just don't see it at all!!! |
