I think your being a bit harsh on Jeremy. He was getting a lot of stick from the fan base at how he was running the club and not spending any money.
He reached a point where he wanted to go, he said he would sell to the person with the best interests of The Albion at heart. Like us Lai lied to him, he pulled the wool over his eyes pretending to be a baggie fan. What happened to the Albion themed training towns in China he was going to build. Not built.
The pandemic hit, which did not help, the Chinese government put a block on cash leaving China and being spent on overseas companies / clubs.
Jeremy had his faults, but he was running us well and we were having mild success in our club size group. We were never going to challenge the top six, that has been long since sewn up and that shop is closed down to all but the FA's elite gentleman's club.
We now need a Chinese takeaway .... Someone please take Lai away.
