We now head to the Cup final next weekend between Derby and Lady Jane. A mixture of PL games and PO finals will be used to determine who takes home the trophy and once they are posted both players can send me their predictions prior to me posting them the day of the game.

I'm sorry Sanjay it really was close, and was all on the West Ham match to see who'd win as I pointed out. It was your game up to the 70 something minute when you had a correct score, then my laptop couldn't get wifi, and so I had to ask someone for the result an hour after the game finished, so it was nail biting, but obviously pleased with the result.

Though you are in the Championship next season, you have some really good players in that league who'll make it interesting.

So we reached the Final between Derby, the PL Champion and Lady Jane, the Championship runner-up.  Their predictions were very similar so in the end it came down to a couple of the other results.

This years Cup Champion is.....................

Derbybaggie!!!!!!!!!!

Final scores were Derby 18 v 13 Lady Jane.  Derby does the league and Cup double this season!!!!

Thank you, SCO and Zin for all the work you do. I think it all hinged on the Everton match, if Bournemouth got an equaliser then Lady J would have been victorious. Small margins and all that.

I can now bask in the glory of a league cup double over the summer. I’m now an occasional tour guide for the cruise ships who dock at Invergordon and do a days tour in the Highlands. It will be something else to tell my American tourists although I doubt they’ll understand the full significance of the achievement.
