Come on lads/ladies, to think we are promotion contenders because we've now won 5 matches and lost one is nonsensical. We have now to get over the xmas and newyear games, and then if we've won them all will i start to think we could get promotion. Until then its a nono.

Week 24 update.
Another dominant display, another clean sheet, in the last 7 games we have only allowed the opposition to score two penalties. Another cracker of a goal from BTA. Takes us up only to 14th.
So with another 3 points on the board, we are only 3 points from the play off places with a better goal difference but Millwall have a game in hand.
We are 7 points ahead of the relegation places, with a substantially better GD.
Plus 7 points behind the top play off position, again with a better GD. The top 2 continue to be consistent.
It continues to be really tight in the pack, with Blackburn 3rd and Stoke 17th, but only 9 points separate these 15 positions.
Next game Thursday at home to Preston NE, who don’t score many but are also tight at the back. Looking forward to seeing how CC sets them up.
My mate is a Huddersfield fan and says Hefele, who recently joined us, was amazing at getting everyone positive when playing for the Terriers especially in the play off season. Hope he can do the same for us. Amelia/Snooty can you add your view to this?

I'm positive we will be in the top 6, I'm more interested if we can catch the top 2 now.
Will CC be able to strengthen next week to help with the challenge. I assume everyone else will be adding to the squads.
Interesting critical week ahead

Week 25 update.
Another convincing win and up 3 places to 11th. Into the top half of the table.
Only 1 point from the play offs with a superior goal difference. However watch out for Luton and Millwall in 8th and 9th who both have a game in hand. Shows how compact it continues to be in the league.
4 points from the top play off spot, again ahead on GD.
Despite our good run of wins Burnley and Sheffield Utd have been on a similar run and remain 15 points ahead and a way better GD.
Next stop Reading at the Hawthorns, see what reaction Carroll gets!
Wishing you all a happy new year.

Another set of fixtures completed. Week 26, so only 20 more games to go.
Another win with a clean sheet. I believe that is 5 wins on the trot at the shrine, with 5 clean sheets. This was unthinkable for many an eon.
Up 2 places to 9th.
Several teams around us also won, so we remain 1 point off the play offs, with a better GD. Note Millwall and Luton also have a game in hand.
Still 4 points from the top play off spot and we have a superior GD.
Sheffield Utd dropped two points so are 13 points ahead of us. Plus they have a substantially better GD.
Burnley continue to be strong but a long way to go yet.
A short break from the league this weekend, for a fa cup tie with Chesterfield. See if CC can Instil the same spirit in players on the edge of our squad!
Then two tricky away games against Luton and Burnley. This should show us where we are against rivals for play offs and automatic promotion places.
I must admit I am enjoying our football, the best since, .... at least since Bilic was manager. Onwards and upwards!

Week 27, another amazing match, with a positive result, beating Luton away.
Up 3 places to 6th. Welcome to the play off zone. Care as Millwall or Luton could repass us, with their game in hand.
2 points off 3rd place. Plus we have a better goal difference.
13 points from Sheffield Utd and they have a substantial better GD. But if either of the top two start to come back to the pack, I think it is more likely to be the blades.
Didn’t believe this was achievable with these players 11 games ago. But am loving being a fan again.
Carlos has done amazing. Plus we are even being linked with young players for the future, in this transfer window. All positive from me.
This week we have a cup replay against Chesterfield, then it is a massive test against the best team in the league to date, away to Burnley. That will be a true test of how we are set up for the rest of the season.
Bring them on!

With SU and Burnley still to play and we still to play both. If results went out way the points gap will be negligible. Another 9 wins in the next 10 will see us challenging for auto promotion place. All we can do is keep winning COYB.

Blue, I have your same hope, heart over head. But head over heart, I think we Kept Jurassic Bruce to long and the gap is just to big.
There are 19 games left, 57 points to play for:
Burnley are 18 points ahead of us, they need 40 points, 13 wins and 1 draw.. They can lose 5 games. Big ask, need a mini collapse
Sheffield Utd are 13 points ahead, they need 45 points, 15 wins, that is more doable for us to catch them.
Of course that is all reliant on us winning our 19 remaining games, you could probably knock one point off each of their targets as they have a superior goal difference. Head says that we are likely to drop points at some point and that reduces their targets even further. I think it will be the lottery of the play-offs and a trip to North london.

To be in with a shout of the play offs is amazing, considering where we were just a few weeks ago.
All we can do is keep up some sort of form and we'll stay in the top group.
Personally I'm not even looking towards the top 2.

If we keep this pace up then Sheff Utd will start to take note and could start tripping up
