So let me get this right, we're taking 4 right backs, so we could play

a fullback in a flat back four
a right wing-back-midfielder operating in a middle 4 (or maybe 3)
a right winger playing in a 3 or a 2

and all 3 of them could be right backs?

The 4th one will be right back in the dressing room and only called on if one of the others gets a hang nail apparently.

Oh, wait - we've other people that play on the right too? Gonna get bloody crowded on that side of the pitch innit?

In other news I'm glad we're taking 3 goalies who have flexible backs - they all know how to pick the ball out of the back of the net without injuring themselves. Whistle

I can see Southgate's logic in taking all 4 right backs. They can all offer something different be that Right/left or center back, defensive or attacking full backs.

At least we know he won't play them all at the same time unlike the holding midfield position that has been such a problem while Henderson has been out. I mean Phillips isn't my favourite player at Leeds but playing him alongside another holding midfielder hardly helped his game.

Anyway negative lateral flow test done and submitted so I get to go to the match tonight, first football match since 29th Feb 2020 Town 4 v 0 Charlton.

Well, did everything to get tickets and be allowed to attend the game and then....

The car broke down about25miles short of Boro, rang the RAC about half three, they arrived about half five.
The car was knackered, hooked it up to tow away but they couldn’t take us so a taxi was ordered by the RAC to bring us back to Wakey. Taxi was due about 18:40 just when the RAC was setting off with our car.
Taxi didn’t turn up, they were driving around Selby trying to find us when we were in a lay-by in NorthYorkshire. Several phone calls later and threatening to ring the police because we’d been abandoned at the side of the A19 with no chance of walking anywhere as it was too dangerous and a taxi finally arrive at just after 9pm.

Gutted, worked so hard to get Top capper status for it to be snatched away from us by bad luck, gutted we missed our chance to watch a live game of football.
