It looks like they have an open cheque book atm, I think Sturridge was at the Seals academy as a baby. So it's back to his beginnings ?

The academy must cost millions and what do we get back in return, players going overseas for a couple of hundred thousand. Scrap the academy and put the money into the women's and powerball teams. No point putting it into general funds, as it will only end up overseas.
Is it me?
I look at the BBC football page, and every article seems to be about generally 'ordinary to good' players valued at £40m, £55m, £65m+.....Spurs not being able to afford Bale's £600,000 A WEEK wages.....etc, etc. Obscene. The working man's game? Forget it

The E & D are reporting Dingle land has become a Mecca for "Pickpockets" that is easily explained. It's because of the amount of 6 finger thieves that live there.

Entertaining game at the Johnny Rocks stadium yesterday.
The Robins took an early lead from Luke (Reg) Varney and Cheltenham still held that lead at half time despite the efforts of the Foxes. The lead remaining until about 20 mins from the end when James Vardy equalised and Leicester took the lead soon after. Not a bad result for the Robins who faced at least three full internationals in MaGuire, Vardy and Johnny Evans. Former West Brom player Tahvon Campbell made his home debut but sadly, contributed little. ![]()

Ah.... CTFC, silver - my hometown club.
Johny Rocks!! Was Whaddon Road in my day! The days of Steve Cotterill's tenure were certainly a golden era, eh? |
