That's right, it's going to take a bit more than what I expected to change my mind.

It is encouraging after watching the highlights, as Imre said it definitely seemed worse than it was. However, we almost lost and snatched a point in the 93rd minute. Let's not sugar coat that. Beautiful football and plenty of possession don't count for shit when you can't take your opportunities.

I am happy CC reacted by making the correct changes. I don't think any of us wanted to see Wallace or hunt near the team.

That Joao miss.. You've just got to laugh, that wasn't because he's shit he often snatches at chances, this kid is still very green.
Westwood hardly ever makes those errors, so you can forgive him despite it being costly, causing to us to yet again chase a game.

I recall Madsteve saying himself last week, that if we didn't win this one then the negativity could really set in. The current aftermath is par for the course IMO.

Until those wins actually materialize let's remain firmly in reality shall we. We're 19th. 5pts -3GD after 5 games. 8pts behind Huddersfield at the top FFS. I don't really care what Derby or Newcastle are doing, it doesn't mean it's Ok to lose or be inept in attack, because one of the bigger Clubs lost. We have to stop drawing these parallels that are illusionary.

Don't expect Wigan to roll over either.

Thanks MS for a positive match report. Brought a fresh perspective to what was becoming a depressing series of posts.

That Joao miss is bad, not sure why he wanted to control the ball in the first place, but I would bet most strikers have one of them in their closet!! We certainly created the chances to win that game a few times over. Interestingly only one of the chances fell to Fletcher, our more experienced striker, got to get him some of those chances and maybe he will have a bit more composure to take them.

Palmer seemed to be heavily involved, so does he keep his place in the team?? Jones will be banned for just one game I think, as it was a second yellow not a straight red, so who will replace him, I assume Abdi will come back in but it will mean one of him, Lee or Bannan will have to play the holding role which restricts the one who does. On the whole it was an encouraging performance with a disappointing result.

Jones will miss one match, against Wigan. Abdi should replace him.

Palmer showed what he can do and should get an extended run in the team.

One statistic that jumped out at me was the accuracy of our crosses. Usually we get about 20% accuracy. Yesterday, it was virtually 50%. This was partly down to Palmer but also Bannan, Jones & Fessi.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Palmer actually played like he wanted the position, I don't see any reason why the onus shouldn't be on Hunt to win it back.
