I never say Nuhiu is the perfect striker. We can do better.
We have the players we have. There is nothing we can do about that until someone agrees to come here. Until then we can only work with what we've got and that includes working to our players best abilities, hoofing the ball up to Nuhiu and then expecting him to do everything himself is not working to his best abilities

Disagree about Semedo!! The system is what is letting him down, not his play! He is the ideal holding midfield player who sits in front of the back four and protects them. The problem is when we go 442 with two out and out wingers, then he also has a responsibility to support the attack or we don't get the number forward to be effective. If we played a 3 man CM with him sat behind Baker and Hutchinson/Lee/Maghoma, then we would be far more effective going forward and we wouldn't be asking him to do things he is not suited to!!

Maguire needs to be dropped, everyone seems to be able to see that except SG!! He has been poor for most of the season but his occasional goals keep him in the side!! Playing a narrow 442 with full backs pushing up a bit and Loovens/Lees being supported by Semedo would allow us to be much more effective when attacking but playing Maguire out wide every game is stopping us form doing that!!

I think SG does finally see it with Maguire.
Last night Maguire tried a turn on half way and ran into 3 Brum players and lost the ball. Sg turned round straight away pointed and Helan got up to start warming up

Cannot agree with that. He may not be anywhere near the best player out there but he is very good at some things. Its back to square pegs, round holes, we need to play to his strengths, just like Semedo, and not try to get him to do the things he is not good at!! Its called management, getting the best out of what you have!!

How many players do we have who are asked to do things they are not suited to??? Semedo shouldn't be our attacking option and needs a 3 man midfield, Maguire is not a winger, Nuhiu is not an out and out target man, Maghoma plays best behind the front two not on the wing etc etc. SG is stifling the players we do have and as a consequence not getting the best out of them. Not saying any of them are world beaters but FFS play them where they can be most effective!!!!

I'll believe that when I don't see his name on the team sheet!!! He has had games like last night on numerous occasions but still gets the nod when it comes to the next match!!! I do hope you are right though!! He is so easy to defend against most of the time as well because he is always coming inside rather than getting to the byline or beat his man to get a cross in, you can almost leave the outside free and just close him down on the inside and he will lose the ball!!

I don't think 442 is neccessarily the problem though, its a rigid 442 with two wingers that is the problem. He could play essentially 442 with a diamond in midfield of Semedo, Hutchinson, Baker and Maghoma, let the full backs push up more and still play two up front, we have the players for this but SG is too stubborn to change things!!

Semedo has become one of the first names on the team sheet. He struggled to get to grips with the championship but this year has really kicked on and cemented that position as his own.
Baker showed glimpses last night of how good he is, if he can lose that nervousness and throw himself in a bit more then we've got a CM partnership capable of competing at this level

The point about three in CM is something I have been banging on about since AI was manager. DJ did play three in CM in away matches for a while but generally we have been stuck with 442 managers.

While Maguire has been generally poor, I do always feel that he is the most likely player to score out of the blue.

Still think that 352 suits us best.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
