Evans was the main reason the Blunts were up the top of League One above us back in the season he was jailed, and conversely his conviction not only robbed them off their star player but I would imagine knocked the stuffing out of the whole squad. Add to that our great run in and a 5 point gap with 2 games in hand for them disappeared completely!!! Of course we were delighted!!
He was well above Laegue One standard then and by the sounds of it could well still be!! I am sure October can't come quickly enough to remove any lingering doubts over his availability for the remainder of the season, but he could just be the "star" you are looking for to get you moving upwards.
