BBB, I agree it is his / was his job but like a lot of people in many jobs he could have coasted along doing just enough to get by, he has worked damned hard enduring a lot of personal criticism and verbal attacks along the way to do what is best for the club he and we love, when things got tough he could have walked away he stayed and built something lasting, yes he has made a big profit along the way but that's business, if you can do a business that is also your passion making money along the way then good luck to you. We were floundering dangerously close to rocks on which many clubs have crashed, he steered us clear and into calm waters ...... We have the chance to move up a gear and be not just head and shoulders above the rest of the Midlands clubs but waist high above.
To me that makes him a great man and deserving of a rest and to enjoy his spoils. Once again I give my thanks and eternal gratitude to JP.
