Indeed I know some Hibs fans who'd clubbed together with a £40 pot of money and punted it on Ross Co at 3-1 odds, the comment being, Hibs have done this before, thousands of Cabbage fans travelling and it'll be a 'kick in the teeth again' v shit opposition! They were right and covered that usual disappointment with a good return on a decent bet! The cynics are still out there and there are lotsa them expecting another 'false dawn' because Hibs consistently do this! That's one of the main reasons why our attendances are well down compared with better times in years gone by. The biggest sickener for me is the fact it's at a time when Scottish footie is generally shit/'rock bottom'! We currently have a Scottish Cup held in Inverness and a League Cup in Ross Shire - well done but it says it all for me and it aint no football renaisance.
