Dev, I wouldn't trust Dave Allen as far as I could throw him - and I've got a bad back. The thing is though his investment means somebody else has to put in a fair chunk in order to get him out. There was a rumour that the Casa management were trying to put a bid together but it seems to have gone very quiet.
In not too recent history locally we had Derby, Forest, Leeds, Bradford, Weds and Sheff U all in the top flight. On the other side of the Pennines you had Burnley, Bolton, Wigan, Blackpool and Preston all up there at sometime or other. It would be great to see them all up there again but it wont be in my lifetime.
Money talks and all the money is in the south. Forget the Northern Powerhouse its all politician speak to keep us all sweet.
