Today's starting line up was certainly not expected. I don't think DW got it wrong, I think he's still trying combinations out in competitive situations. Today's combination seems to have had a pretty dire first half in particular.
The guy seems very committed, confident and cool headed and I hope he finds the right blend soon as the fixtures tick away. I'm sure he'll have spoken to DH about requirements in the January window. Be good to see Whitehead back.
I'm impressed by Wagner's clear desire to win matches [risking defeat] rather than setting up for a draw [also risking defeat] ie. aiming for 3 points rather than 1. As a legendary Town manager said, "Aim for the sky and you'll hit the ceiling, aim for the ceiling and you'll hit the floor.'
