If we beat Walsall it'll be in the realms of the loaves and fishes.
I'd judge Mark Smith on what he's done, not how he sounds.
I'm happy to take a chance but I want to see some management record or real promise. I think we ought to at least aim to stay in this division.
I watched Hartlepool last night. I'd sign Rhys Oates tomorrow or January, Jake Gray if Palace decide he won't make it, Andrews if Middlesbrough ditch him and I liked their left back too. Paul Scholes' comment amused me that he couldn't see much between Salford and Leagues 1 and 2. Perhaps he hasn't noticed they've brought in ex-League players throughout their team and have now got themselves a former international (only in his late twenties) playing left back for them.
As for the Beeb's decision to screen Salford again, possibly to advertise another documentary on the Class of ....., illustrates a perverted idea of the magic of the cup. A club transformed by the wealth of five top players and a multi-millionaire gets the air time and publicity from which every other non-league team left in the cup would better have benefited. It isn't only Yentob who needs to leave that organisation.
