If hypothetically an announcement is made tomorrow morning stating that Tony Pulis has resigned then Brendan Rodgers would be my first choice British replacement.
He did a very good job at Swansea and continued the foundations that Martinez laid with exciting football which won many plaudits. His philosophy is in line with what I like to watch (a style of football based around keeping possession and intense pressing) and he has shown with Liverpool that he can change things around to get the best out of the team's players (counter-attacking quick football to get the best out of Sturridge, Suarez and Coutinho). He has shown himself to be adaptable which in my opinion is important in football management and he has the know how and experience in the Premiership to lead teams to decent success.
