Manager available - baggietrousers - 04-10-2015 Just throwing this one out there, Brendan Rodgers anyone? RE: Manager available - WBA-Josh - 04-10-2015 If hypothetically an announcement is made tomorrow morning stating that Tony Pulis has resigned then Brendan Rodgers would be my first choice British replacement. He did a very good job at Swansea and continued the foundations that Martinez laid with exciting football which won many plaudits. His philosophy is in line with what I like to watch (a style of football based around keeping possession and intense pressing) and he has shown with Liverpool that he can change things around to get the best out of the team's players (counter-attacking quick football to get the best out of Sturridge, Suarez and Coutinho). He has shown himself to be adaptable which in my opinion is important in football management and he has the know how and experience in the Premiership to lead teams to decent success. RE: Manager available - Tibby Baggie - 04-10-2015 I'd take Rodgers in a heartbeat... but would he want the job? I'm not convinced he would to be honest. RE: Manager available - Luke_East_Baggie - 04-10-2015 We aren't getting any new manager except someone like an Irvine. I can't see Peace giving 30m to someone to build a squad again in January. Hypothetically I think I would take him, good ethos etc. RE: Manager available - Mosestheballwinner - 04-10-2015 That'll be the same Brenan Rodgers who's team had scored more than once on only one occasion since last winter. No ta mate. RE: Manager available - Dingle-Dingle - 05-10-2015 The last time Liverpool sacked a manager we took him on. Who would welcome him back now?? DD ![]() ![]() RE: Manager available - St Charles Owl - 05-10-2015 Rogers succeeded at Swansea because of what Martinez had started. He had one season of success at Liverpool because of Suarez. Before and after that he has shown very little ability to attract the best players nor mould them into a winning team. Sure he would play better football than Pulis but you will lose more games IMO that you will with Pulis and if staying in the Premier is your priority then Pulis may be your best option. Of course having read the WBA board I do wonder if staying in the premier is your priotity?? I think it's admirable to want to see the team play the sort of football you were known for in the past, but that was in the past and the game has moved on. RE: Manager available - BaggieMan - 05-10-2015 Ron the Manager off The Fast Show would be better than the jerk we've got now ! ![]() RE: Manager available - Beefy 1965 - 05-10-2015 Sadly I bet DIM TIM down the road gets the boot soon ...... And Rodgers will end up at the seal sanctuary ![]() RE: Manager available - meandbrenarebaggies - 05-10-2015 You just don't get it do you? It doesn't matter who manages (coaches) The Albion. We could have any manager(coach) in the world and it would make no difference whatsoever to our ability to get more points from our fixtures because.... We havn't got any MONEY. Big managers with big money equals results. Big managers with no money equals same old same old. |
