Wakey, I'm pretty sure Hoyle's game plan is to recoup as much of his £37 million loss as possible, which should now be around £30 million following the sale of Coady, Butterfield & Smithies. I think he's now realised that his fortune could quickly disappear if he tries to support a competitive Championship club and as you suspect, he is now planning for life in League One where his overall running costs will be much less and easier to control.
As I've said on many previous occasions, you don't sell off your best assets in any line of business if you are serious about having any future success. He's already made plans to prune his wage bill with the likes of Vaughan & Hammill etc, being shown the door, so in my mind it will now take a miracle for us to survive another season in the Championship.
I wouldn't be surprised if he also closes down the Academy, which has produced next to nowt for yonks and whatever has happened to Jake Charles, who was apparently destined for stardom but is now out on loan to non league Guiseley.
Theo says that he didn't think we'd get many points from our August fixtures, well maybe he should look at our October ones where we are away to Wolves. Ipswich & Burnley and home to MK Dons & Derby. November is no easier with Reading & Sheff Wed away and Leeds & Boro at Home, whilst December see's us tackle Birmingham, Brentford & QPR all away and Bristol city and Rotherham at home, which will be our 23rd game and the half way stage. So how many points do we expect to pick up from that little lot?
Like you and many others on here, I'm already becoming thoroughly pissed off with what's currently going on at the club and believe that the fans a being taken as mugs.
