Aside from the other concerns you've rightly raised, I think it's playing with fire for a club to treat its medical staff as tactical pawns in the game; their concern should be for the welfare of the players, regardless of what the manager thinks or says. You only have to reflect on incidents like Fabrice Muamba a few years back to realise the potential consequences - as a worst-case scenario - if doctors and physios feel like they need written permission in triplicate before they can run onto the pitch. They're there for a reason, Jose; let 'em do their jobs.
