Read the posts sc.....we have been saying for days....no months.....no years that none of the last few managers has got to grips with the defence and so far AS is not much different. I would keep Gray ( although injury prone) and Fontaine but would look for a proper left back, and centre half leaving Hanlon to act as cover or fit into a three centre half defence when needed. Stevenson would then be free to be a squad player ( left side only of course ) to fill in as needed. As for Oxley, I think everyone knows my views by now

Both keepers were mince on Saturday but at least you would only have to try a different keeper if yours didn't gain in confidence. I don't really remember either keeper making a save when the ball was on target

Problem we seem to have is that when we bring players in they head straight to the treatment table and that is the last we see of them. In pre season and on Saturday how many new gers signings were on show and how many of ours were on show........I don't count Oxley as he was there last year so precisely 0, zilch, none........makes you wonder about our training regimes
