And so we come to the end of another turbulent season, signing off with a trip to the Emirates; the place where, almost five years ago, it felt like we'd finally made it as a Premier League club when we took Arsenal apart on a balmy (and barmy) September day. Typically, we've been unable to even take a point from there since, although with each season, Arsenal's performances and winning margins have grown less convincing. Going into this weekend, they've sewn up second place in the league and have one eye on a second successive FA Cup triumph; they didn't look especially inspired against Sunderland, and with the momentum from our thumping victory against the champions on Monday, it could be that we're on course for another memorable day in Holloway.
Even if that proves not to be the case, we're guaranteed at least a 13th place finish, which is a great achievement after our appalling winter, and is something for us to build on next year. After two years of chaos, that's good enough for me. All the best to everyone, and let's hope the summer gives us plenty more to smile about.
