2014/15 Season Review (of sorts)

Player of the Season
For me Jacob Butterfield, by far and away IMO the best player for us. Always looking for the ball, always looking to drive forwards and not afraid to shoot. When we sold Clayton to Boro and got Butterfield plus cash in exchange I have no doubt in my mind that we got the better end of the deal.

Young Player of the Season
I'm going for Conor Coady, he looked a little flat of late but he hasn't looked out of his depth. He can pass, he can see this happening and cut the pass out and he has been known to score the odd goal he even looks like he can do a job at centre back if needed. This lad will only get better.

Best game of the Season.
Of the ones I've seen then I'm going for Town 2-1 Brentford back in December, just a great game of football by two teams playing attacking football. It was one of those game that could quite easily have finished 5-5,6-5 or 5-6 and you wouldn't have complained about the result due to the standard of football on show.

Worst game of the Season
I've seen a few shockers this season but I'm going for the opening game of the season Town 0-4 Bournemouth. They ripped us to shreds that day and it was like none of our team had met each other before. Looking back at the starting XI that day you have to think what was Mark Robins thinking...Matty Crooks in defence, Pelts in central defence?? Since then we've shipped out 6 of that starting line up,hardly seen Majewski and Stead who was on the bench has gone as well.

Goal of the Season
It's not a bullet shot from outside the box or even a overhead kick I'm going for. It's Towns opening goal against Derby last weekend. It's a team goal, where Town pass the ball about and probe trying to find that killer pass, that's exactly what we did and in fairness it wasn't a bad finish by Oscar Gobern.

Best Player in the Championship(based on games against Town)
Although I agree with Cas about Wilson being the best in the Division for Bournemouth overall I have to change that for games against Town. My pick for the best player against Town has to be Nathan Redman for Norwich City. He has absolutely terrorised our defences in both games, at Carrow Road he comes on as half time sub and changes the game. Yes we were down to 10 men but we just couldn't handle him, likewise down at the John Smiths Stadium he took young Carroll apart....pure class and wasted in the Championship.
