SG is very likeable. I had the opportunity to talk to him at Bournemouth last season and you cannot dislike the man.
When you need to sack a manager, you look for an easy excuse. DJ was miserable. GM played terrible football. AI did terrible post match interviews. With SG, there is no easy excuse. It is just that he isn't up to the task ahead.
When he got the job, it was to keep us up & he did that job & steadied the ship. The job has now changed. We need someone that can lift us into the top two. SG doesn't have the flair or imagination to do that. He is a safety first manager who considers a draw as a good result.
The majority of fans think he deserves a chance with money. My view is I want to see us promoted as soon as possible & keeping SG probably delays that by a season.
