I think the huge majority of ALL supporters, even at this early stage, would choose the latter.
As has been said on another post, are we wanting a pasting v Spurs, and even a struggle v Burnley, to focus JP's attentions on this, or would we want to pick up a few points but then maybe struggle all season with AI's seemingly unimaginative and inflexible team selections, tactics and substitutions? Of course, these aren't the only 2 possibilities but we seem an increasingly unhappy bunch.
I'm normally not for getting rid, and really wanted Mel to be given a decent chance; I think it's still VERY early to be thinking of getting ride of Alan Irvine but could really understand it if it DID happen after Saturday or maybe the next game.
If we DO want a change, who is out there to make the most of this squad, which seems to be pretty talented and of some depth? Who would accept the job though - maybe it would appear a poisoned chalice given the comings & goings of the last 3 years?
