We have had some pretty shabby players on the team roster over the years haven't we? In my day, of course, that was not the case. All the players were absolutely superb.

But, alas, times have changed. I think of players like the underwhelming Franny Jeffers, the truculent twit Bothroyd, the hapless JOC, Sid the Kid, unimpressive Akpo Sodje, balsa boy Chris Sedgwick, and of course man about town Nile Ranger.

There may be others I've left out of this not so illustrious lineup.

Who are they??

And what are the classic excuses that managers and fans have used to cover for these under-performers??

I'll give peiowl ratings for selections to the list and classic excuses. Out of 5 badgers.

I'll start the ball rolling with, you've guessed it, Thurny's idol the one and only Atti Nuhiu, however you spell it.

"He holds the ball up well"

"He's still our best striker"

"They have to put 2 men on him"

"He's from a different country"

Now you get the idea. The first one is a cliche, not funny. Second one is daft. Third one same as first. Last one very funny. I would give it 5 badgers but must leave some room for growth

I've adopted badgers for myself until someone claims them as coming from him. Then, I'll gladly relinquish them. I know who made excuses 2 and 4, so I'll put you guys in the league.
