We shouldn't forget that it's the WORLD Cup, and not just designed for us in Europe/S.America, but World Cups and Summer Olympics are ALWAYS played out in the Summer months. It shouldn't be changed just so we can pretend to care that it's staged in every part of the globe. (Can't wait for the Greenland Olympics).
I haven't taken much interest in the schedules or facilities. I'm assuming then that there ARE plenty of Stadiums in this City, hosting the games, and also plenty of air-conditioned and shaded training facilities (?)
But if so, WHY change to Nov/Dec? Just for the fans? If fans are daft enough to go and watch - rather than just sit at home and watch, like me - they can watch the evening games, and sleep through the day!
I still think it's barmy, and I still can't believe that anyone who voted for Qatar hasn't got paid an awful amount of money!
I hope the Authorities don't just ignore the plight of the poor souls/slaves actually building the stadiums.
