I think we would all be gutted to see Fellows go...
It's something I expected to happen as he's our only player with any value and we know our financial position. I think a lot of teams would've liked more time to look at him, but the way he's started the season will convince a few to go for him now, worried his price will rise.
For me, I think it's too early to know if he will become Premier League class, so if we get £12-£15m, it could end up being a good deal in the long term. At the same time, if he develops, it could go the other way.
From a personal point of view, if we used some of the money to sign Mikey Johnston it would soften the blow and still enable us to bank a significant amount. I read earlier that he's signing for Sheffield United for £2.5m, which if true, seems like small change for a player of his ability. I'd be gutted if Fellows went for £15m and we couldn't afford to compete for Johnston at that price.
