I'm a great believer in the word "team" (in the sporting sense).
25 or so years ago, at Cheltenham, Steve Cotterill took charge of a hugely under performing club in the 2nd tier of non league football. He recruited players that, technically, maybe, weren't the best, but had the character and commitment needed. I'm not saying they were bad players, but their common characteristic was commitment.
2 years later, they were a Football League team for the first time in their history.
I see similarities here with us in that players coming in have got to be hungry, have a desire, and have a team ethos rather than a personal ego
