Mansfield Town defender Alfie Kilgour has agreed a new contract to run to the end of next season.
The 25-year-old has made 24 League Two appearances for the club since arriving from Bristol Rovers in January 2023.
He has, though, been out of action since rupturing an Achilles tendon against Doncaster Rovers last August.
"Watching the squad play with such bravery, commitment and class has filled me with inspiration," Kilgour told the club website.
"I look forward to being back on the pitch, giving my all for the Stags."
Despite his absence, Mansfield are currently third in the table and have only been beaten twice in their 26 games so far.
"Alfie is a consummate professional and will continue to do everything possible to give himself the best chance of recovering from his injury," said boss Nigel Clough.
"We're delighted that he's signed a new deal and are looking forward to seeing Alfie back in pre-season and get him ready for the 2024-25 campaign."
