I'd seen Mr. Moore referred to as Big Dave a few times, so I thought I'd enquire as to why ... our Baggies mates come up top trumps again.

Ok chaps, as a Yorkie living in Dingle land, yes I know, I put up with them, question - when or why did Darren Moore become known as Big Dave?

When he signed for us in 2001 there was a series of Pot Noodle ads on telly featuring an (imaginary) huge black guy called Big Dave, the idea being that if you eat a cheeky supersize Pot Noodle all to yourself you should "blame it on Big Dave".  Came from that, because of the general resemblance.
