Alfonso Alves was pants for Middlesborough he was top scorer over there, Mateja Kezman was quality for PSV and other teams but didnt do great at Chelsea, Jan Venegoor of Hesselink had a brief spell with Hull but they were struggling anyway.
It may have been money at the time but only perhaps Di Matteo came over to play in this country whilst under 27 years old and a current Italian international, I personally wouldnt go shopping over there for players to make the adjustment to the English leagues
Think the Germans manage to adapt best to the EPL/Championship suprised really managers havent shopped more that way
