Refereeing is enormously difficult. I'm sure Elleray's giant error was honest. I'm also sure being a Harrow schoolmaster didn't help either our perception of him, or his own ability to consider he might be getting it wrong and taking a look to the linesman for help. I suspect he's one of those men who is prone to think they are always right.
Saturday's ref was unfortunate because she got just two things wrong and they absolutely swung the game. I'm sure taking past form into account King had been winding Asante up.
