the male is mainly a useless commodity in dairy production and so forms the majority of the meat industry. It's the female population that produces all the milk so the farmers top all the males, mainly between birth and 12 months, apart from one or two that they need to shag all the big fat cows 
to piss us some milk and keep the production line going
