Since we sacked Pulis in November 2017, we've had 6 permanent managers (including the current one) and 2 caretakers; the longest serving was Slaven Bilic at 18 months. Six managers in less than 5 years is appalling, but shows either that the Board is incapable of selecting properly or that the Board / Owner have no level of patience - or, more likely, both are true.
Consequently, I have absolutely no faith that, should the Board realise its error in appointing Bruce and sack him, it will appoint an appropriate replacement or give that person either the time or resources to make a success of the role.
To be honest, with the exception of the usual tired faces looking for a pension top up, who on earth would want to take that job, with that history of appointments and an owner who has no interest in the club whatsoever?
