Even with our world beating vaccine roll out, we still managed to get higher death and infection figures than anybody else in the EU but maybe that's because we were too busy vaccinating and took our eye off things?
Today they are talking about letting it rip after July 19th, if that's not a recipe for disaster then I don't know what is. Savage Javid and bustling big backhander Bob Jenrick have decided to pool their vast health knowledge and re-classify covid as flue (again).
Just think if Savage and been in charge of health last March we could have avoided all the attempts at getting it under control and protecting ourselves, we would probably be dead so nothing to worry about there. Put a banker in charge of anything that doesn't involve rejecting loan applications and what does he become? It rhymes with Banker.

Matlock is very nice this time of year but a bit of a bugger after heavy rain lifts the Derwent about 20 - 30'. Head for the hills if you want to keep your feet dry, I seem to remember you had a bit of a run in with a small brook a few years back so you know what its like.
As a Eurosceptic who voted Remain, the EU do have good things about them like the single market, FOM, Erasmus and I think the working together on science and research is vital, the rest of it is just red tape but you could say a lot of our political system in the UK is red tape etc.
Yes you are correct Dancing, we didn't need to leave the EU to go our own way on vaccines as we've never been part of the EU vaccination programme even before Covid 19 was a thing but I think the scientists like Whitty, JVT etc and sage told our Government to start putting orders in on vaccines because I very much doubt the Government would have done it off their own back. The problem with the EU and the vaccines orders were the EU were trying to get the best price possible and they kept waiting around very much like someone trying to get a cheap Christmas present at 3pm on Christmas Eve only to find out that what they were going to buy is sold out or not in stock so they end up picking anything.
Like you Dancing I agree I think we are going down a road that I certainly don't want to go down either, there are a few similarities of the 1930's and that is terrifying. Is the EU perfect? Nope far from it. Will Britain leaving the EU end up with the EU collapsing? No but the arguments over LGBT and other laws might bring the EU down as certain countries in the bloc are against these laws.
Back to the football, I think it's an odd signing but can Rowe get the best out of him? Sounds like a few players might be departing probably for a fee. I tell you what I do find rather odd is the fact that the chief scout Paul Lemon's position was terminated with immediate effect and George Foster who was the assistant manager is now doing the scouting and that the new assistant manager is Danny Webb.
