watched the highlights this morning on sky full 90 minutes observations thus.
We have improved defensively under sam this seems to be the first job he's insisted on and its showing
perhaps a bit too aggressive and desperate on occasion but its effective

the free kick was bewildering I can only assume he accidentally blew his whistle but as mentioned blew again to halt proceedings
before the ball went in. That said when it did go in at least one if not two of their players were in offside positions. No idea why Mason
decided to change his mind an award the goal for it to then be overturned again by VAR however as mentioned by others about time we had some luck

the good. gallagher in particular is tireless and constantly looking to put a tackle in and looks to win the ball back and does on a fair few occasions, Bartley was immense his goal priceless
and he seems to be spearheading the spirit and desire needed in this team, brighton are known to have most of the possession whoever they play
but the commentators very much favoured that WBA were being very proactive in nullifying and restricting them it happened at palace palace didn't
have hardly any of the ball for large spells but nicked it at the end.

the bad. As mentioned Perriera doesn't look up for it. He strolls around a lot and when he did get a great chance on the right in the second half he overplayed it and way too casual
fluffed the chance to take a shot or put a threatening cross in. Not at all surprised Sam substituted him for a defender cos we had a massive 3 points to defend and perreira was very lacklustre may as well have another defender on than a forward who doesn't care enough to do his job. Diangana similarly when he came on tried a bit harder than Perriera but not a patch on the player he was and could be
two penalties thankfully both missed and who'd have betted on wellbeck sticking a nail in our coffin? first one, our guy is jumping for the ball with the classic arm out to get leverage off the ground and ruffle the opponent handball was a bit harsh IMHO second one Oshea did get the ball first so again I'd say unfortunate.

the ugly. Were improving on that side of the game with the majority of the team scrapping and fighting for the ball about time to. their free kick goal that wasn't see above.

I still think were going down but we are fighting and improving. Realistically we need 3 wins in 3 and then we would be amongst it properly. bets anyone?
