How frustrating you found last Saturday's outing at Burnley is probably a decent indication of how resigned you are to Albion's fate this year. If the good ship Survival has well and truly sailed, then it must have been heartening to watch a ten-man Baggies side show some organisation and tenacity, earning a point and restoring a smidgeon of pride with their dogged resistance. If, on the other hand, that elusive vessel is still (for the time being) moored in Albion Harbour and taking passengers aboard, then there could hardly have been a worse ordeal than seeing us cop a first-half red card in a vital game yet again, before proceeding to squander the few gilt-edged chances we were ever going to get to punish a woeful Burnley side.

Either way, we still need wins. Brighton are the next target, twelve points above us going into Saturday, having struggled since their big back-to-back wins against Liverpool and Spurs to begin the month. Monday night saw them lose their big (if geographically-peculiar) derby against Palace, so there's a sliver of hope of a positive result, even if the bigger picture is starting to fade into the background.

Johnstone
Furlong - O'Shea - Bartley - Townsend
Yokuşlu
Phillips - Gallagher - AM-N - Pereira
Diagne

I'd like to have seen Robinson start in place of Phillips. AM-N on the right, Robinson left and Pereira behind Diagne.

Me too, I think Robinson offers more than Phillips at the moment. Hopefully, Phillips proves us wrong with a storming performance

This is a total farce, or more accurately a ‘VAR’ce!

Not sure if you are talking about the penalty or Mason's moment of 'What the **** just happened'.

So, playmates, how are we looking today?

Good start but now Brighton are stamping their authority on the game and we're fortunate to still be in front.

Big decision for Big Sam on Pereira, or should I say passengereira...

Feels like we're playing with 10 men with him today and he's already nearly cost us a couple of goals not doing basic tracking. I feel like he needs to take him off so we have XI men all pulling in the same direction to try and get something from the game. Obviously he is capable of a flash of brilliance in the moment, but I feel his lack of defensive contribution is not acceptable...

Hopefully he comes up with that moment of genius to justify remaining on, if Big Sam doesn't sub him.
