I just can't see why Allarcyce keeps persisting with Sawyers...

I credit Sawyers with being a decent forward ball player, which is more than most think of him. But it's just blatantly obvious that he can't play deep in midfield for us, in our current state, when he can't clear his lines or tackle. There's nothing worse than watching a fairy ducking out of tackles when you're 3 and 4 goals down. At least look like you give a toss!

Honestly, if we're going to be sh*te, i'd rather at least watch players that try and put a foot in.

Allardyce hasn't had anywhere near the impact that I expected. While many thought he was going to be too industrial, I was actually relishing that. I wanted us to mix the game up, adopt a Pulis style 'fit the big blokes in' approach but in moderation with a smattering of flair. In actual fact, we're no different to under Bilic. Allardyce is still trying to fit all of the luxury players in just like Bilic did. The lads are still waltzing around carefree, not looking like they give a toss that we are getting hammered.

And until Sawyers is dropped, he's never going to win the fans over.

I don't know if Gallagher was being rested today or if he was dropped. But I think everyone would prefer to see him over Sawyers for his effort alone. Personally, if it's a backs to the wall job, I'd rather see Field. At least he plugs the gaps, tackles and is mobile; even if he isn't the most talented on the ball.

The only thing I will say in Allardyce's favour is that it's not his fault we have accumulated this terrible squad. A squad that lacks in just about every area from experience, to heart, to quality.

The one player he has brought in is the type of experience we needed to add in the summer. In the 2 games he has played, we have accumulated 3 points including beating the Wolves.

Unfortunately we are scratting around for other teams cast offs with no money after spending £30m+ on 2 left wingers (Grady and Grant) in the summer. Those signings were in addition to Robinson and Pereira, who also operate wide (or can in Pereira's case). Our transfer approach was just a complete disjointed mess, signing all of those wingers and having no legs or quality in the middle. The irony is, despite all those signings, Grosicki and Phillips have featured in the last 2 league games. And then there's the sale of Hegazi, who was our one experienced campaigner sold after the window closed because Bilic rarely used him. Surely Dowling must've known when he was sold that a manager change was in the offing? I think he did, which shows how skint we really are.

And I maintain what I said when Hegazi was sold and that is "we will get what we deserve as a club". That is relegation. It's not what the fans deserve, but what we deserve as a football club for our approach to a Premier League season.

I did hope Allardyce might be able to pull off a miracle but it's looking less and less likely with this personnel. The Wolves win becomes meaningless if you're going to follow it up by getting embarrassed.

And as others have said, who is going to come? For me, the only possibility in loanees who want to put themselves in the shop window. Nobody is going to join permanently, even if it was a free transfer.

I just hope that we can pull off a miracle signing or 2 somehow, because with that midfield, Fulham will wipe the floor with us at the weekend.
