It's totally embarrassing.
City are too good for us, which is fair enough, but to gift them goals is ridiculous.
First thing I thought Allardyce would do when he came in was ditch Sawyers and make us more industrial. But he's just as enamoured with Saywers his as his predecessor. The guy clearly isn't going to learn that you don't have time to bring the ball down on the egde of your own box, because he keeps doing it. As for the Mahrez goal, it's criminal for Gibbs to let him cut inside on his left foot like that. If he goes the other way and rifles one in with his wrong foot fair enough, but even Cheltenham stopped him from doing that at the weekend.
And then there's the 2nd goal...
That's the first time in my life I've seen the flag raised and it not be offside. I appreciate the official has made a mistake but surely as soon as that flag goes up the decision is made. That's the way it always has worked and that is why all of the players stopped. I thought the idea of VAR was that the linesman keeps the flag down and then VAR overrules and gives offside if there is a goal after. Every time I've seen the flag raised since VAR was introduced, the decision was just given. Since when was it the rule that the linesman gives the offside and then the VAR overrules it the other way?
I mean, do City really need any help winning this...
