I don't think it being his last game would be a reason not to smile, would it?
I'm sure i'd be smiling all the way if I was on the way to a bumper pay cheque.
I think he's probably just a tad arrogant (like most of the talented youngsters) and thought
that it wasn't worth of a celebration after scoring against a conference team.
I think a happy medium is 'respectful'. You don't want to rub lower league players noses
in it by over celebrating, but treating it like a routine training goal isn't great either.
A smile would've been best for all parties. It's respectful to the opposition plus helps
to endear you to fans, colleagues, and everyone else watching, including potential suitors.
We will see what happens - but he lad was by far the standout players again today and
has been all season. Let's just hope the grim face was due to something else off the
pitch or what he thought was a 'respectful' celebration.
