Body Language - santasabaggie - 03-01-2015

Berahino!...Not once did he celebrate a goal in the usual way. Does this mean TP told the players to show Gateshead some respect or does he know it was possibly his last game for Albion. For me it looked like the latter.

RE: Body Language - Stairs - 03-01-2015

Hopefully the former as I understand the other goal scorers were equally dull in their post goal celebrations.

We have a natural goal scorer in Berahino and if he will stay and if he is happy about it we need to support the lad and show him this is home.

RE: Body Language - BBB - 03-01-2015

There must have been something going on in his head - or not - as I cannot understand why he looked so bloody unexcited about scoring any of the four goals - I mean I would have acted like Morrison!

What is it with players these days, cos even the Blyth Spartans skipper after scoring TWO still tried to look macho, he wont get that feeling or chance again, and that goes for Berahino. Goes with the stupid head styles I suppose. Wink

Court case looming.Didn't get a PS4 for Christmas? Subbed in last game? No idea but he needs to get a grip

Big Grin  Big Grin  Love those last 2, Bournemouth & BBB  Thumb up  Thumb up

'Too Much Too Young'  Sad

TP has said something like 'I look forward to working with him for the time I'm here' so hopefully that DOESN'T mean that he's necessarily on his way; Mozza and I think Brunty both looked pretty pleased with their goals too so I think it was just Saido being a twot and Vic worrying about pulling a muscle if he tried a smile Sick

RE: Body Language - Slick_Footwork - 04-01-2015

I don't think it being his last game would be a reason not to smile, would it?

I'm sure i'd be smiling all the way if I was on the way to a bumper pay cheque.

I think he's probably just a tad arrogant (like most of the talented youngsters) and thought
that it wasn't worth of a celebration after scoring against a conference team.

I think a happy medium is 'respectful'. You don't want to rub lower league players noses
in it by over celebrating, but treating it like a routine training goal isn't great either.

A smile would've been best for all parties. It's respectful to the opposition plus helps
to endear you to fans, colleagues, and everyone else watching, including potential suitors.

We will see what happens - but he lad was by far the standout players again today and
has been all season. Let's just hope the grim face was due to something else off the
pitch or what he thought was a 'respectful' celebration.

RE: Body Language - silverbaggie - 05-01-2015

Saido has defended his lack of goal celebrations as him just being professional. Angry

As a geriatric Baggie I would hate to think that all those wonderful celebrations in bygone years by 'the Bomber' and 'the King' are now to be regarded as unprofessional.

RE: Body Language - Stairs - 05-01-2015

Yes, saw Saido's comments. Although I don't really agree with him, I am happy to accept that reason that feel he was looking to leave.

I must admit, watching the MOTD showings of the FA Cup, there was a lot of subdued 'celebrations' and so it turned out to be quite common.

Lets hope his hat-trick this weekend against Hull results in more animated celebrations!
