I think the central 3 in the first half was a big mistake by Slaven. Barry sitting was fair but Harper and Brunt in front of him just didn't work. Brunt didn't offer enough higher up the pitch other than a couple of crosses and Harper didn't get higher up the pitch enough for me. When Krovinovic came on and Brunt dropped back into Barry's role, that is what changed the game. Suddenly we had a driving force in the centre and Krovinovic ran the game. He also brought Harper more into the game as he got forward more.

I was also not too impressed with O'Shea in the first half. Bruce deliberately stuck Joelinton on him and Almiron was on Bartley's side but floating around. I thought O'Shea was too lightweight in that first half and lacking the physicality needed to play against Joelinton. He was better in the second half.

I'm not particularly fussed about us losing because, while a cup run is always nice, finishing in the top 2 is the most important.
