I definitely think playing Brunt (has he ever had a worse game) and Barry together was a mistake, but I've got to say that I was pretty impressed with all our youngsters.
Agree that our strikers look very ordinary but, all in all, I think we did well, particularly when Krovinovic came on and looked a class act. I liked the style of our play, looking for the triangles and playing the angles well.
I'm obviously in a minority but, although we lost and Newcastle JUST about deserved it, I'm going to bed a relatively happy bunny
Drewks, I’m in your minority as well. As long as come May we’re in that top 2 the decision to make 9 changes will have been a shrewd one. Play the first XI get a couple of injuries and Bilic would have been crucified.
We go again Saturday back to the important games, let’s be honest we were never going to win the cup and doubtful Newcastle will either
I too am in the glass half full camp, only saw the second half but thought we looked good going forward. Phillips looked hungry although he missed at least one sitter. Edwards run for the second goal was superb. Krovinovic La class act, hope we can sign him if we go up.
