The Lilywhites return to Victory Park on Tuesday evening for the first time in three seasons, as they face the recently promoted Magpies.

The manager revealed on Saturday that Brad Potts should be fit to return to action for this coming weekend’s clash with Southampton at Deepdale after an injection, whilst Darnell Fisher is closing in on a return to training after dealing with a groin issue.
For the hosts, they had a good win at Longridge Town on Saturday, also 4-0, with former North End striker Chris Holroyd making his debut for Jamie Vermiglio’s side.

The club was established in 1996 by a merger of Longridge St Wilfred's and Longridge United.[2] They started in the Preston & District League and were Division Three champions in 2003–04. Subsequent promotions saw the club reach the Premier Division, and a third-place finish in 2007–08 led to them joining Division Two of the West Lancashire League in 2008.[2][3] They finished as runners-up in their first season in the division, earning promotion to Division One.[3] The 2011–12 season saw the club win the Division One title, resulting in promotion to the Premier Division.[3] In 2016–17 they were Premier Division champions. Following a third-place finish the following season, the club moved up to Division One North of the North West Counties League. The clubs first season in Division One North of the North West Counties League saw them go on to win the league on the last day of the season ahead of Avro F.C.. With becoming league champions, the club also got promotion to North West Counties League Premier Division at the first attempt.

Two games at the same time the one at Longridge is a developmental side probably full of youngsters, the Chorley game will be first teamers. Having spent many years freezing to death at Victory Park will give it a miss.
Have seen a couple of epic games at Victory Park, a 5-4 win over Wigan in an NPL cup match circa 1968 plus a three game epic against Wimbledon which ended with Chorley winning the third game 2-0 at Fellows Park, Walsall both the aforementioned games attracted gates of 6000.
