Dev, Bowery is supposed to be a striker, his return this season so far at Crewe is 8 goals. To me that's not doing too well, he should be at least in double figures to be doing ok. To put it into perspective its 2 more than COG has managed this season which to me says it all - No thanks steer well clear. Bowery had an absolute blinder against I think it was West Ham or could have been Man City? (in the days when we got past the first round of any important cup) He scored a cracker and I assume on that performance Villa saw the potential. He had never shown it before and hasn't shown it since.
His transfer fee at the time was given as £1mill but that included add ons based on appearances so you are probably right it would have been less.
