Great Expectations

some of our fans expected Deano to spend, spend, spend like he'd never done before.
Can i say some of our fans think the summer transfer business we did was piss poor. Diakhaby,Bacuna and Sohbi for a kick off. How much did that lot cost us in transfers and wages. Last summers transfers have effectively cost us dearly both in financial terms but also on the pitch.

I still think that DW became disillusioned by reffing decisions.
I don't think he did, I think the pressure he put on himself to get results proved too much for him.

I do think that refs are influenced by big clubs and players
I think the refs and liners do the best job they can under massive scrutiny. Look at Yesterday when he didn't give Sterling a penalty, look at the other week down at Arsenal when he booked 3 of the gooners for diving. Swings and roundabouts IMO

There is an unfairness to the premier league.
You're right, there is a unfairness to the Premier League, but its a financial unfairness. Next season in the Championship it will be the teams like who don't receive massive parachute payments from the PL saying exactly the same thing about us

Expectation has been the enemy
You're right again, whilst nobody expected us to be in anything other than a relegation battle many us didn't believe we'd be cut adrift like we are now
We expected having spent another £50million in the transfer market that it might give us a better chance,..
We expected having spunked millions on wingers that we might actually play some wingers.
