The overriding stench of anti Irish opinion cutsright through with mcclean. Matic so far remains unabused.
Matic remains unabused because the average keyboard warrior has no knowledge of what he is referring to and was completely unaffected by whatever happened. McLean gets abuse because he is considered by the same keyboard warriors of supporting the IRA rather than the reality that the troubles had a profound impact on his life as a youngster, and even today those of us old enough to remember living through the height of the troubles in NI saw the effect that had on life in other parts of the UK through the fairly frequent and very high profile bombings by the IRA. I am not sure McLean will ever be able to convince some of these people that his motives are not pro-IRA but are anti-British military action in NI, something he vividly remembers.
